like the flowing river

be like the flowing river.
silent in the night.
be not afraid of the dark.
if there are stars in the sky,
reflect them back.
if there are clouds in the sky,
remember, clouds, like the river, are water.
so, gladly reflect them too,
in your own tranquil depths.

this is how to live our life.

It's Between You and God
Author: Mother Theresa

People are often unreasonable, Illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, People may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, You will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, People may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, Someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, They may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, People will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, And it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, It is between you and God; It never was between you and them anyway.

my past-time friends come back.

i don't know why. it's all just like miracles.

these last weeks, i was just wondering, where do my childhood friends go? they're gone i don't know where. we lose contacts. and no one knows where they are, like Valentine, Winnie, David, and others. i miss them so much. i was curious how they are after has gone for more than 5 years.

but, suddenly, the day before today, i was surprised. i saw a name "Sheen Valentine Li" in the Facebook on "people you may know". DAMN! God has answered my questions!! i found him! my old friend who has the same birthday as mine. great! i requested to be his friend on Facebook at once. Then, not long after it, I found another name: "David Nugraha". oh God! so kind of You!

then i was wondering again. where is Winnie? i used to like chatting with here in the 4th grade. But then she said that she had to move to Singapore. Well, so i tried to find her name on Facebook. unfortunately, i couldn't find her. i thought i misspell her full name. then i thought hard how to find her. Thank God, i came up with the idea that she is a relative of Marcello. at once, i searched for her name in his friend list. and I FOUND HER!

my childhood friends, 5th grade

well, i learned that everything having a strong relationship with us will come back. it does not only happen in me, but also others. my father experiences it a few month ago. he lose contacts with almost all of his friends. but in 2 days, he succeeded to find them and made up their relationship again.

Mitch Albom, in his book, "Tuesdays With Morrie" also experienced the same thing. he finally came back to his teacher after tens of years lose contact.

that's why, we won't separated no matter how far our distance is :)

humans don't need the survival of the fittest law

this is one of the most precious things i learned during my seven-day-trip in Bali.

i got this during our social charity in Tenganan village's elementary school. i met a little girl, who was in the first grade, named Widyantari. looking at her made me so sad. she does not have any friends, she can't read alphabets (to write her name, she memorize the shape of the alphabets without knowing what alphabet it is), and she doesn't speak clearly (her voice is so small and she opens her mouth a little). but the worse thing is: she doesn't want to smile.

my friend, Grace, teaching Widyantari

i wonder why this kind of thing always happens in any society. even in my school there's a lot of persons like her. they are deserted and have no friends. life for them seem so sad.

thinking of it, the "survival of the fittest" law suddenly came up in my mind. yes, "survival of the fittest". for a moment i agree with it. it because they are not able to adapt well to their environment. that's why they lose in competition and not able to make friends.

but, one thing made me changed my mind and made me fought the law. humans don't need the law! if they apply the law, then it means humans have to destroy each other to have a better life. it does not suit with humans. instead, humans have to love and help each other to make a better world. if humans do, then there won't be any conflcts in this world, isn't it?
